Buttermilk Syrup

Buttery Buttermilk Syrup.... this is so naughty and so yummy! I love it on french toast, or pancakes, or ableskeivers, or anything breakfasty! We received a mason jar full of this yummy syrup for Christmas, complete with a recipe and it has become one of my favorites. I don't make it all the time, because I love it tooooo much!

2 cubes butter (original recipe called for margarine, but butter is better!)
2 cups white sugar
1 can evaporated milk

Boil these three ingredients for 5 minutes in a deep sauce pan.

Add:
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 teaspoon baking soda (this will cause the mixture to foam)

Serve on pancakes, french toast, waffles, etc. Anything breakfasty!
